Tollymore Mountain Race
The Tollymore event is a mountain running race held in County Down. It forms part of the Hill and Dales series and is organized by Newcastle AC. The course covers a distance of 6.60 km and includes a total ascent of 350 meters.
The event takes place on terrain that is categorized as easy, with race marking provided only at major junctions. Participants are not permitted to use GPS devices during the race.
Safety regulations require all runners to carry Level B mandatory kit for the duration of the event. This equipment includes the following items:
- A waterproof jacket
- A hat or buff
- Gloves
- A whistle
- A foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent
- A charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored in the device
