Course and race details

The course runs through the Cactus Forest within Saguaro National Park. The 8-Mile course is a clockwise loop on paved roads with rolling hills and views of the Rincon Mountains, the Catalina Mountains, and the Tucson basin. The 5k is an out-and-back that covers the last portion of the 8-Mile course. The course passes through areas with saguaros, prickly pears, and ocotillos.

Registration, fees, and awards

Race entry includes a day pass into Saguaro National Park. Registrants may save $5 by submitting a National Park Service pass number during registration. The first 750 registrants are guaranteed a tech race shirt; an additional 200 medals are available as an add-on for $15. Prize money is offered for course records and for age-group and overall awards.

Beneficiaries
