El Tour de Tucson 5K
This athletic event takes place in Downtown Tucson, featuring a 5 km (3.1 mile) course designed for both runners and walkers. The route begins on Cushing Street and proceeds through the historic neighborhoods of Barrio Viejo and Armory Park. Participants pass through wide residential streets before concluding the race at El Parque de San Cosme, located near the San Cosme Chapel.
The race utilizes a chip-timed system for results. Participants are requested to position themselves at the starting line based on their anticipated pace, with faster runners at the front and walkers toward the rear. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including a duo category for wheelchair users.
