Titan Takeoff 5k and 1 Mile
The Titan Takeoff is a campus running event held at Indiana University South Bend with the Student Activity Center (SAC) serving as the start and finish area. The course is fully paved and loops through campus. The event includes both an untimed 5K and a competitive 1 Mile.
- 5K
- 1 Mile (competitive, bibs and finish photos used to determine winner)
The 5K is open to runners and walkers and will not use bibs. The Competitive Mile will use race bibs and finish-line photos to identify the overall winner, who will receive IU South Bend Women’s Soccer merchandise. Check-in and same-day registration are available on race day, and cash payments are accepted at check-in. Registration is non-refundable and carries a $5 fee; additional donations are appreciated.
Before the races, participants and spectators can take part in games, activities, and raffles. Parking is available in the large lot directly in front of the SAC. The event is presented in partnership with Fleet Feet Mishawaka and the IU South Bend Titans women’s soccer program, and all proceeds and donations will support the team in purchasing properly fitted running shoes for preseason training to help with injury prevention, athlete health, and performance.
