The event is a weekend of road-trail races on the Tissington Trail near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The race offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
On-the-day entry fees, subject to availability, are listed as: Half Marathon £40 and 10k £30. Registered entrants receive a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. The organiser provides route maps and GPX files for download.
Course and logistics
The route runs along the former railway line from Ashbourne to Buxton and is traffic free. The trail has a gentle uphill gradient on the way out and a slight downhill gradient on the return. The location for the race start is given as Mappleton Road, Ashbourne DE6 2AA. Race headquarters is at Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Clifton Road, Ashbourne, DE6 1DR, about a 10 minute walk from the start line. There are several pay-and-display car parks in the town within walking distance of Race HQ. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day.
