Inflatable 5K - Derby 2027
The Inflatable 5K in Derby is an outdoor inflatable obstacle course event taking place in April 2027 at The Showground, Elvaston Castle Country Park, Derby. The course is built from large inflatable obstacles, slides and tunnels and repeats each lap to create longer distances.
Distances offered
- 2.5k : 1 lap, 15 obstacles
- 5k : 2 laps, 30 obstacles
- 10k : 4 laps, 60 obstacles
- 15k : 6 laps, 90 obstacles
The course layout is a 2.5k lap that repeats for multiple-distance options. There are multiple music zones along the route and a water station positioned midway on the course. Every participant receives a finisher's medal, a finisher's goodie and a post run drink.
Practical information included by the organiser notes parking is charged at £5 per car and bag drop is available for £3 per bag. Toilets are provided at the venue and dogs are not permitted. Children aged 5 to 15 must be accompanied by a paying participating adult with a 3:1 child to adult ratio. Volunteers receive one free run entry, a T-shirt and a tote bag.
Recommended kit includes sensible running shoes, a long sleeve top and a rain jacket if needed. Participants are asked not to wear sharp jewellery or carry sharp objects for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
