Tiptree 10 Mile
The Tiptree 10 is a 10-mile road race held on quiet rural roads through scenic Essex countryside. The event is organised by Tiptree Road Runners and is based at Leisure World Tiptree, Maypole Road, Tiptree, Colchester, CO5 0EW.
The race is chip timed and operated under UKA Rules, licence #30782. The course has an SEAA Measured Course Certificate, number 15/349.
The event is fully marshalled by members of Tiptree Road Runners who provide support and encouragement to participants regardless of club affiliation. Profits from the event are donated to local and national charities, and the organisers acknowledge support from sponsors.
County championship medals are awarded to the first three England Athletics athletes in each category: Senior/open (age 20 to 39) and then five-year bands from V40 to V70 plus, inclusive (age on the day). A veteran finishing in the top three may also receive an open medal. Team scoring uses the finish positions of eligible athletes, with three club runners comprising a team; a club's fourth, fifth and sixth scorers can win team silver or bronze if their club wins team gold.
