Tipsy Turkey Beer Mile
The Tipsy Turkey Beer Mile is a social running event held at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. This Thanksgiving-themed event is restricted to adults aged 21 and over. The race follows a traditional beer mile format where participants consume a beverage before completing each segment of the course.
The event consists of a mass start and follows a specific sequence:
- 1 Mile total distance divided into four 1/4 mile laps.
Participants are required to drink a 12 oz beverage at the start of each of the four laps. The race is clock-timed, and participants can choose to run, walk, or crawl to the finish line.
The event includes a costume contest where participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed attire, with judging based on creativity. Awards are presented to the fastest male and female runners overall. Each registration includes an event T-shirt.
