Flying Pirate Half Marathon

The course begins and ends at the Wright Brothers Memorial and runs at sea level through Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk. Available race options include:

- 5K
- 8K
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles
- Double Dare Challenge: complete the Half plus either the 5K or 8K
Practical details published for participants note that there is no race day packet pick-up, and that strollers and pets are not allowed. Packet pick-up is held at St. Andrew's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Nags Head. Parking is available at the First Flight Schools complex in Kill Devil Hills. Post-race access to the Beer Garden requires a photo ID or a Beer Band; Beer Bands are available during packet pick-up.
A pirate-themed costume contest is part of the weekend, with judges located among mile marker sponsors and bike marshals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
