Running of the Leprechauns - Kill Devil Hills

Event
The Running of the Leprechauns is a fun and festive event featuring 5K and 10K race distances. It has been part of the annual event lineup since 2017. All finishers receive a medal. The event includes an authentic Irish post-race party with stew, beer, and music.
Participation
Participants can register online. A discount code is available for veterans and active-duty military members. Strollers and pets are not allowed at the event.
Schedule
Packet pick-up and late registration are available on the day before the race at Swells'a Brewing in Kill Devil Hills. On race day, these services are offered at Satterfield Park in Nags Head. The 10K starts first, followed shortly by the 5K start.
Post-Race
A post-race party and awards ceremony are held. Entry to the Beer Garden requires a valid photo ID or a Beer Band, which can be obtained during packet pick-up.
Awards
All runners who complete the race receive a finisher medal. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance. Awards are not mailed out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
