Event
The Running of the Leprechauns is a spring road race in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, scheduled for March 14, 2026. The event includes a post-race Irish-themed party with stew, beer, and live music. Participants receive a t-shirt and a medal.

- 10K
Finisher medals are awarded to all runners who complete their race. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance. Awards will not be mailed.
Strollers and pets are not allowed. Entry to the post-race Beer Garden requires a photo ID or a beer band; beer bands are available during packet pick-up. Veterans and active duty military members may use the code MILITARY to receive a 10% discount.
Packet pick-up locations used in the 2025 schedule included Swells'a Brewing in Kill Devil Hills and Satterfield Park in Nags Head. A course map is provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
