Tipp Turkey Trot
The 19th annual Tipp Turkey Trot takes place in Kyle Park, located in Tipp City, Ohio. This athletic event is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day and serves as a fundraiser for Ginghamsburg Church's New Path Ministry, an organization that provides food for families in need. Participants may choose between two distinct road racing distances on the morning of the holiday:
- 5k Run (3.1 miles)
- 10k Run (6.2 miles)
The event includes competitive elements, with awards presented to the overall top three male and female finishers in both the 5k and 10k categories. Registration for either distance is set at a fixed fee and includes a commemorative shirt for individuals who complete their registration by early November.
Logistics for the race include two opportunities for packet pickup. The first occurs the day before the race at a running specialty store in Troy. A second opportunity for packet pickup is available at Kyle Park on the morning of the event. The race starts and finishes near the South First Street area within the park grounds.
