ORRRC Gift Exchange 5K
The ORRRC Gift Exchange 5K is a low-key holiday running event held at Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering, OH 45420. Instead of a traditional entry fee, participants bring a wrapped gift valued around $10 to take part in a group gift exchange after the run.
Registration is available online prior to the event and can also be completed in person on race day; hard copy registration sheets are available if needed. Minors may be registered online by a parent or guardian or in person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.
All participants must check in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one shoe. Timing chips and check-in are issued at a table identified by a green tablecloth. Organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm up.
Awards are distributed through the gift exchange; every participant receives a gift as part of the exchange. Overall male and overall female finishers receive a special additional gift. The event is intended as family friendly, and participants are asked not to bring alcoholic beverages or adult gifts. Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs.
