About the race
TinMan Joburg #4 is an event in the 2026 TINMAN Series held at Prime View, Olifantsfontein, Gauteng on 11 October 2026. The event programme includes multiple triathlon and duathlon classes with specific minimum ages for each class. Swimming takes place in a dam, cycling on road routes, and running on offroad gravel roads.
The event is organised by DELTA SPORT and is run under Triathlon SA rules. Distances and minimum ages: - Mini Triathlon: 200m swim, 6km cycle, 2.5km run. Minimum age 8 years. - Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run. Minimum age 12 years. - Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Relay: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run.
Minimum age 16 years. - Sprint Duathlon: 5km run, 20km cycle, 2.5km run. Minimum age 16 years. - Challenge Triathlon and Challenge Relay: 1.2km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run. Minimum age 17 years. The event provides timing chips, race numbers, medical assistance, swim lifeguards, run marshals, road closure for the bike leg, finishers medals, and post-finish refreshments.
Athletes must hold an annual Triathlon SA licence or purchase a temporary TSA day licence valid for the event. Registration venue is Prime View Adventure and Leisure and race day registration is available on site in the morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
