About the race
TinMan Joburg #4 is a multisport event scheduled for 11 October 2026 at Prime View, located at the corner of Old Olifantsfontein Road (R101) and Olifantsfontein Road (R562) in Olifantsfontein, Midrand, Gauteng. The event is part of the 2026 TINMAN Series, which includes five race dates across the year.
Races use a mix of lake, road and gravel terrain: the swim takes place in the dam, the cycling is on closed public roads, and the running is offroad on gravel roads. Safety and race services listed for the event include swim lifeguards, run marshals, medical assistance, a safety officer, timing chips, race numbers and a finishers medal. There is a full road closure for the bike leg and ice cold bottled water on the finish line. Top three prizes are awarded for male and female categories and there are lucky draw sponsored prizes.
Distances and minimum ages:
- Mini Triathlon, 200 m swim / 6 km cycle / 2.5 km run, 8 years and up
- Super Sprint Triathlon, 400 m swim / 10 km cycle / 2.5 km run, 12 years and up
- Sprint Triathlon and Relay, 750 m swim / 20 km cycle / 5 km run, 16 years and up
- Sprint Duathlon, 5 km run / 20 km cycle / 2.5 km run, 16 years and up
- Challenge Triathlon and Relay, 1.2 km swim / 40 km cycle / 10 km run, 17 years and up
All athletes must hold an annual Triathlon SA licence or purchase a temporary TSA day licence valid for the event. Online entries close the Thursday before each race at midnight. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
