Heatwave Half Marathon - Colorado Springs

The Heatwave Half Marathon takes place at Goose Gossage Park in Colorado Springs. This summer event features a variety of distances to accommodate different types of participants, including chip-timed races and untimed options. Participants in the timed events receive live results and are eligible for awards.

Available distances include:

• Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
• Half Marathon Relay (13.1 miles)
• 10K
• 5K
• 1 Mile (untimed)
• Kids Dash (50m, untimed for ages 10 and under)

The half marathon relay option allows participants to form teams of any size, though each member must register individually. For the 5K and 10K distances, youth-based pricing is available for participants aged 12 and under. Children participating in the Kids Dash have the option to run for free if they do not require event amenities such as the shirt and medal.

All registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To ensure shirt size availability, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks prior to the event date. The event also provides free professional photos and serves ice cream at the finish line. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available for all distances, where materials are shipped to the participant.
