Rocky Mountain State Games - Swim / Run
The Rocky Mountain State Games Swim / Run is a multi-age swim and run event produced in partnership by Tri Fit Company LLC and The Colorado Springs Sport Corp. It takes place in Colorado Springs at 44 W Cache La Poudre St and is offered for youth and adult divisions as part of the state games.
The event is USAT sanctioned and requires a USA Triathlon membership for all participants; memberships are available during registration. Races combine a pool swim with a separate run segment on the Santa Fe Trail. Age groups and race formats are fixed and based on the competitor's age on December 31, 2026.
Race distances
- Ages 5-8yrs - 100m pool swim / 1/2 mile run on the Santa Fe Trail
- Ages 9-15 yrs - 200m pool swim / 1 mile run on the Santa Fe Trail
- Ages 16+ yrs - 750 meters pool swim / 5k run on the Santa Fe Trail
Age is determined by the athlete's age on December 31, 2026. Participants may compete in an older age group but cannot compete in a younger age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
