Tiger Tri 2026 : overview
Tiger Tri 2026 is the 3rd annual triathlon hosted by the University of Missouri Triathlon Club. It takes place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Mizzou Rec, 1000 Rollins St, Columbia, MO 65203. The event is USAT sanctioned; a USAT membership is required and a single day membership can be purchased during registration. Awards will be given to top finishers by gender in each category. The race qualifies one for Nationals but is not scored within the conference.
Race format and logistics
The event uses indoor and outdoor facilities at the Mizzou Rec. The swim is in a long-course 50 m pool with swimmers splitting lanes; starts are from the wall and there is no diving. The bike leg is completed on stationary spin bikes and covers 10 miles; athletes may use SPD (mountain bike) clips but SPD-SL clips are not compatible. Towels, lockers, and space for backpacks will be provided. The run is a 5k on the Stankowski Track, run as 10 laps outside with an indoor-track backup if outdoor conditions are unsuitable. Heats run hourly, there is a meeting before each swim start, and there are roughly 10-minute gaps between legs to allow athletes time to change. - Mizzou Students: $15; registration ends January 30, 2026.
