Three Creeks Torrent Trail Runs
The Three Creeks Torrent Trail Runs take place at the Three Creeks Conservation Area, located ten miles south of Columbia, Missouri. The event is sponsored by the Columbia Track Club and utilizes a landscape with historical ties to post-Civil War homesteads. The competition is limited to a total of 135 participants across all distances.
The course consists of an approximate 10 mile loop composed of 80% single track trail and 20% gravel or jeep roads. Each loop includes 950 feet of elevation gain and approximately ten creek crossings, ensuring participants will encounter water. The event is cup-free, requiring all participants to carry their own hydration equipment. Two aid stations are available: one at the Deer Park Road trailhead and another at the Tomlin Hill trailhead.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 50K (three loops)
- 20 Miles (two loops)
- 10 Miles
- 10 Mile Ruck
The ruck division requires specific weight standards to be eligible for awards: 30 pounds for men and 20 pounds for women, excluding food and water. This weight must be maintained for the duration of the event and is verified at the start and finish. Weighted vests are permitted, and trekking poles may be used in any category. Finishers receive a pair of event-specific socks, and overall winners receive entry into a future race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
