Tiger Claw

Tiger Claw is a trail event in Issaquah, WA held May 7 to May 8, 2027. The main distance is a 50k run that covers rugged Pacific Northwest terrain and about 8,500 feet of elevation gain. The event structure centers on three distinct climbs that share a common descent; runners choose the order in which they complete the climbs and use timing devices to verify each loop.

There are multiple event options and formats:

  • Ascent: 2.5 miles uphill with about 2,500 feet of vertical gain, followed by an untimed 3 mile descent to the trailhead.
  • 50k: ≈31 miles with roughly 8,500 feet of elevation gain.
  • Double: a 50 mile option that completes the full course twice, once in each direction, totaling nearly 17,000 feet of vertical gain.
  • Ambush relay: three person teams start together, split to run the three different ascents, regroup at the lower aid station, and finish together; loops are 10.5 miles, 12.5 miles, and 13.5 miles.

Aid is provided at two stations named Base Camp and High Camp. Runners must carry at least one water bottle; no disposable cups are provided, and water pitchers or collapsible cups are used to refill bottles. Equal podium categories are offered for men, women, and non-binary participants. Volunteer opportunities are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
