Tiger Claw
Tiger Claw is a multi-route trail event held on Tiger Mountain, described as the largest of the Issy Alps. The weekend program on May 7 and 8, 2027, includes multiple race options listed as 50k, The Ascent, Big Cat, and The Ambush. The event is presented by Rabbit and uses routes that climb three of Tiger Mountain’s west peaks.
The core format for the main Tiger Claw challenge requires runners to complete three distinct summit loops. Participants may choose the order in which they run those loops, and an official Tiger Claw finisher title is awarded only to those who complete all three loops within the event cutoff time.
Trails are technical and include sustained climbs and steep descents under a canopy of fir and moss. Organizers advise that runners be self sufficient for hours at a time and that prior trail running or ultrarunning experience is recommended. The event materials warn that Tiger Claw should not be a participant’s first trail race.
The start and finish location has approval to be at the Issaquah Community Center in the town of Issaquah. The event acknowledges that it takes place on the original homelands of the Duwamish and Coast Salish people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
