Tidewater Striders 2027 Distance Series #3
This event offers running and competitive race walk options over measured out-and-back courses along the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake, VA on February 27, 2027. Races begin and end at the trail entrance at 1246 Dismal Canal Trail.
Course layout uses turnarounds: 10K participants go to the 5K turnaround and return; 20K and 30K participants go to the 10K turnaround and return, and 30K participants complete an additional out-and-back to reach 30K after crossing the timing mats. Finish line closure is based on a 15 minute per mile pace.
Additional notes cover logistics and standings. An after-race party is held at Tap It Local, 648 Grassfield Pkwy #12, in the Wal-Mart shopping center about 3.5 miles from the start/finish. The Race Director and Tidewater Striders may cancel, reschedule, or adjust distances for safety or access restrictions. Packet pickup and registration details are managed by the organizer.
