Tidewater Striders 2026 Distance Series #1
The event takes place on January 10, 2026 at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Rest Stop at Mile Post 4, Chesapeake, VA 23322. It is the first race in the Tidewater Striders Distance Series. The event offers both running and race walking options.

Series challenges
The organizer offers multi-race challenge bundles that require completing one event at each of three Distance Series races to claim a commemorative medal. Available bundles and listed prices include the 10k Challenge ($120), the Half Marathon Challenge ($150), and the Marathon Challenge ($150). Distance Series #2 is scheduled at Fort Monroe, VA on January 31, 2026, and Distance Series #3 is scheduled in Chesapeake, VA on February 28, 2026. Specific distance combinations for each challenge are listed by the organizer.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available the Friday before each event from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Running Etc. Hilltop location and on race morning from 7:15 AM to 8:20 AM. Published entry prices for run events range from $45 to $60. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
