Tidewater Striders 2027 Distance Series #2 at Historic Fort Monroe
This event on January 30, 2027, at Historic Fort Monroe includes running and competitive race walk distances held on a course that combines a loop inside the moat with an out-and-back on the Mercury Blvd. bridge overlooking Mill Creek.

- 5 Mile
- 10 Mile
- 15 Mile
Multiple event formats are offered: road runs and competitive race walks at the same distance options. Registration opens May 15, 2026 for the 15-mile run and August 15, 2026 for the other events, and registration closes October 1, 2026. Registration fees listed in the event information are $40 for 5-mile events and $50 for 10- and 15-mile events.
Packet pickup and event logistics are specified: race day packet pickup takes place at the Start/Finish line under the Tidewater Striders tent, and pre-race packet pickup is at Running Etc., 1940 Laskin Road, on Friday, January 29 from 4 to 6 PM. An after-race gathering is scheduled at the Paradise Ocean Club, 490 Fenwick Road, Fort Monroe, located about 3/4 mile from the Start/Finish area.
The 10- and 15-mile races hold Tidewater Striders Grand Prix status, and the 15-mile race is also designated as a Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix. The organizer reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or adjust distances for safety or venue access; there are no refunds, though rescheduling may be attempted.
