Event overview
The Tidewater Striders 2026 Distance Series #3 takes place on February 28, 2026 in Chesapeake, Virginia. It is the third and final race of the 2026 Tidewater Striders Distance Series. The event offers both run and competitive race walk options and lists an entry price range of $50 - $60. Distances offered are:
- 10k (6.2 mi)
- 20k (12.4 mi)
- 30k (18.6 mi)
Both run and race walk divisions are available for the listed distances. The 20k and 30k are noted as Strider Grand Prix races.
Course and logistics
The course uses the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. Start and finish are at the Rest Stop at Mile Post 4 in Chesapeake, VA. The race is run out-and-back on the trail: 10k participants turn at the 5K point; 20k participants turn at the 10K point; 30k participants complete the 10K out-and-back then an additional out-and-back to the 5K turnaround to reach the full 30k. An after-race gathering is listed at Tap It Local, 648 Grassfield Pkwy, Chesapeake, approximately 3.5 miles from the start/finish in the Wal-Mart shopping center.
