Tidewater Striders 2026 Distance Series #3
The third race of the 2026 Tidewater Striders Distance Series takes place on February 28, 2026 at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, starting and finishing at the Rest Stop at Mile Post 4 in Chesapeake, VA (1246 Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Chesapeake 23322).
Distance options include both running and competitive race walk events:
- 10k (6.2 mi)
- 20k (12.4 mi)
- 30k (18.6 mi)
The course is an out and back along the trail. 10k participants go to the 5K turnaround and return to the finish. 20k participants go to the 10K turnaround and return to the finish. 30k participants proceed to the 10K turnaround, return to the finish line, then continue out to the 5K turnaround and return again to complete the 30k.
Aid and logistics details: there is a rest stop at Mile Post 4. The finish line will close based on a 15 minute per mile pace. An after race gathering is scheduled at Tap It Local, 648 Grassfield Pkwy, approximately 3.5 miles from the start/finish in the Wal-Mart shopping center.
