Tides of Grace 5K Race
The Run into summer 5K Race for Tides of Grace is an annual community event held in Stevensville, Maryland. Now in its third year, the event supports the local non-profit organization Tides of Grace, which provides resources and services to individuals and families on the Eastern Shore. Proceeds from the registration fees assist in maintaining the organization's Community Resource Center and Crisis Center located in Centreville.
Participants have several options for involvement:
- 5K Run/Fun Walk for adults (13 and over)
- 5K Run/Fun Walk for kids (7 to 12)
- 5K Run/Fun Walk for kids (6 and under)
- Virtual 5K for remote participants
The physical course starts at the Tides of Grace parking lot situated at 605 Main St #101. The route travels behind Kent Island Elementary School and joins the Cross Island Trail. Participants follow the trail east to the intersection of Castle Marina Road before returning to the starting location via the same path.
The funds raised through this race help support various community outreach programs, including monthly service events that assist hundreds of people, a prom boutique for high school seniors, and the annual Christmas magic toy drive. The organization focuses on providing a helping hand to those in need of assistance through local partnerships and direct services at its crisis facility.
