Rock Hall Triathlon - Rock Hall, Maryland
The Rock Hall Triathlon is a two-day multisport event held May 30–31, 2026 in Rock Hall, Kent County, Maryland, at 21096 W. Sharp St. The festival program includes Olympic and Sprint distance triathlons, aquabike options, and team relays. The Olympic and Sprint races serve as USA Triathlon Maryland State Championships and are qualifiers for the Toyota Age Group National Championships; state championship qualification follows the top 35 percent or top five finishers in each age group, whichever is greater. Events are open to age 12 and older and relay teams may consist of two or three people.
The courses use Rock Hall Harbor on the Chesapeake Bay for the swim, which the organizer describes as sheltered from significant wind or chop. The bike course runs on rural roads noted for long stretches of pavement with wide shoulders. The run course is described as pancake flat and follows nautically themed neighborhoods and side roads in Rock Hall. Swim starts use a time trial format with two athletes started every few seconds; an Elite Box Start is offered to athletes racing up front. A free youth and junior pre-race clinic is provided. Registration benefits listed by the organizer include a finisher medal, long sleeved tech shirt, custom race socks, packet pickup bag, timed results, age group awards, a post race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish line photos.
