Tidal Trails is a beach-based running and festival event held in South Shields on 16 August 2026. The event includes an Event Village with food and drink vendors, a stage with music and entertainment, and beach games and activities throughout the afternoon.
Races and on-site activities
- 8 km Trail run, starts and finishes on the beach, route continues onto the Leas grass above the shoreline.
- 2 km Short trail for beginners and younger runners.
- Super Sand Sprint Short barefoot sprint across the beach.
- Families on Track Continuous relay designed for participants of all ages.
Ticket types and published prices include an 8 km entry at £35 (includes all day Event Village access), adult 2 km at £15, U16 2 km at £8, Event Village adult access at £10, and Event Village U16 access at £5.
