Event Overview
The Tick Tock Ultra is an endurance running event held in Lakeland, Florida. The course consists of a 2.84-mile loop on a paved walkway that circles Lake Hollingsworth. Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible within a set timeframe. The event is strictly limited to 200 individual entrants, with a separate limit of 20 teams for the relay category.
Race Formats
Runners can choose from three main participation options:
- 12-Hour Solo: An individual endurance challenge.
- 6-Hour Solo: A shorter duration individual event.
- 12-Hour Relay: Teams of 3 to 5 members log cumulative laps. Only one team member is permitted on the course at a time.
Support and Amenities
The event features a central area known as the Runners Village. This station provides a variety of hot grilled food throughout the day, including pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, quesadillas, and grilled chicken. Later in the afternoon, smoked pork butt and brisket are served. Standard ultramarathon snacks, such as pickles, snack bars, and soda, are also available for participants.
Awards and Recognition
Participants or relay teams that complete at least 10 laps receive a finisher award. Specific trophies are designated for the top three male and female finishers in the 6-hour and 12-hour categories. Additional recognition is provided for masters runners (over 40) and the top two overall relay teams. A portion of each entry fee is donated to the Pheel Good Foundation.
