Event Overview

The Tick Tock Ultra is a timed running event offering 12-hour and 6-hour solo challenges, as well as a 12-hour relay option for teams of 3 to 5 people. The course is a paved walkway looping around Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland, Florida. Each lap is approximately 2.84 miles. Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible within their chosen time limit. The event has an entry limit of 200 individual runners and 20 relay teams.

Course and Format

The run takes place on a paved path framing Lake Hollingsworth. The format for the 12-hour and 6-hour solo events is to run continuously, completing laps. For the relay, only one team member is allowed on the course at a time, with teams competing based on their cumulative lap total over 12 hours.

Amenities and Awards

A runners' village provides food throughout the event, including items like pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, quesadillas, smoked chicken, pork butt, and brisket, alongside typical ultra marathon snacks and drinks.

Awards are given for the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 6-hour and 12-hour races. The top male and female runners over 40 receive master awards. Any solo runner or relay team completing at least 10 laps receives a finisher award. The top two relay teams also receive overall relay awards.

Registration and Charity

Registration closes two days before the event. A portion of each entry fee is donated to the Pheel Good Foundation, which created the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
