Tibthorpe Loop - Trail Half Marathon (Yorkshire Wolds)
The Tibthorpe Loop is a circular trail half marathon of approximately 14 miles through the Yorkshire Wolds. The route is described as undulating but not technical, with about 1,200 ft of climb. Navigation is supported by a GPX file and on-course waymarking using yellow tape and large yellow correx signs at key junctions.
Entries are capped at 300 and the event typically sells out months in advance. There is an overall five hour cut off based on pace, and one staffed checkpoint is located at the halfway point. Checkpoint food and drink are vegan friendly and gluten free.
The event starts and finishes at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn, which offers free on-site parking, indoor cycle parking and toilet facilities. A wildflower seed medal is awarded to finishers; the medal is made from recycled materials and can be planted. One tree will be planted per entry and at least £3 of the entry fee goes to local charities, split across three named recipients and a community fund.
Additional provisions include chip timing with immediate results, a downloadable certificate after the event, event photography available for free download, a PreLoved clothing collection at registration, and on-site first aid cover. Minimum age is 18 and dogs are not permitted on the course. Mandatory safety kit requirements apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
