About the Event
The Tibthorpe Loop is an undulating trail half marathon (21.1 km) through the Yorkshire Wolds. The route is circular and described as easy to navigate and non-technical. It shares the first 9 miles with the Wold Rangers Way Ultra route.
The event starts and finishes at the Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe. There is one checkpoint on the route halfway round.
Event Details
- Half marathon: A single distance of approximately 21.1 km with 1,200 ft of elevation gain.
- The overall time limit to finish is 5 hours.
- All checkpoint food and drink is vegan friendly and gluten free.
Venue and Facilities
The start/finish venue, Field House Camping & Coffee Barn, offers free parking, indoor cycle parking, and eco-friendly toilets. Food and drink are available for purchase. The venue has a dog-friendly policy for spectators, though dogs are not permitted on the course.
What's Included
Participants receive a GPX file of the route, which is also marked with signs on the day. Chip timing is provided. Finishers receive a handmade wildflower seed medal made from recycled materials. A tree is planted to celebrate each participant's success. Professional event photography is provided free of charge.
Additional Information
£3 from each entry fee is donated to local charities: The Peoples Pantry, the Wold Rangers Way Charity, and a community fund. The event has a recycling scheme for unwanted sports clothing, books, and medals at registration. First aid cover is provided for the duration. The event is open to participants aged 18 and over.
