Dalby Forest 5 Mile Headtorch Challenge
This is a night trail race of 5 miles held on single-track and forest trails. Much of the route passes through areas mostly unused by the public, and some sections are opened specifically for this event. The course is run in the dark and requires participants to use a headtorch or a hand-held torch. Head torches can be purchased online from around £15; head torches will not be sold on the night.
For insurance purposes the minimum age is 16 years on the night. Online entries close 19/01/2027 at 11:45am. Individual entry price is £19.00 plus a booking fee of £1.90. There will be no on-the-night entry for this event. The entry limit is 650 due to parking restrictions at the Dalby Visitor Centre; registration will close when this number is reached.
Awards are given to the first five male and the first five female finishers. Medals for finishers are introduced for 2027. The event location is the Visitors Centre, Dalby Forest Dr, Low Dalby, Pickering YO18 7LT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
