Dalby Forest 5 Mile Headtorch Challenge
This event is a 5 mile trail race held in Dalby Forest on single track and other forest trails. Many of the paths used are mostly unused by the public, and some sections are opened for the event only. The race takes place in the dark and is described as pure trail running in the dark.
Participants should bring lighting. A headtorch is recommended, but a hand held torch may be used. Head torches will not be available for sale on the night. If needed, headtorches can be purchased online from around £15.
Entry is by online registration only. The individual entry fee is £19 plus a booking fee of £1.90. There will be no on the night entry. Online entries close 19/01/2027. The event has a maximum of 650 entries because of parking limits at the Dalby Forest Visitors Centre; registration will close once this number is reached. For insurance purposes the minimum age is 16 years on the night.
Awards are given to the first five male and the first five female finishers. New for 2027 there is an engraved wooden finish line gift.
