Mixed-terrain course in Shropshire
The Tibberton Trot is an annual running event held in Tibberton, a village located in the Telford and Wrekin borough of Shropshire. The race is a partnership between the Newport & District Running Club and the local community. The event originally debuted in 2019 and takes place every September.
The race features two distinct distances:
- 10 km
- 1 km (junior fun run)
The 10 km course follows an anti-clockwise, mixed-terrain route. Participants navigate a track that includes approximately 50 meters of elevation change. The event starts and finishes on the playing fields adjacent to Tibberton School.
Additional amenities are provided by local organizations. The community shop and village hall offer cooked food, such as bacon baps, for purchase during the event. Proceeds from the race are directed toward causes that benefit the local community. Recognition is also given to the fastest male and female runners who are residents of Tibberton.
