Thousand Island Park 5K (TIP5K)
The Thousand Island Park 5K is a small, family-oriented memorial footrace held in Thousand Island Park, New York on July 4, 2026. The event began at a family reunion in 2013 and has since grown to include members of the local community. Registration for the event is free; registration opens May 30, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026.
The course distance is 5K and runs across a mix of surfaces: dirt roads, grassy lawns and a single trail. The route will be poorly marked and will remain open to traffic. Walkers and strollers are explicitly welcome.
Timing at the event is informal. The timing crew will use consumer devices and there are no timing chips, so official times may be inaccurate or might not be recorded.
