DENFIT Winter Soldier
The DENFIT Winter Soldier takes place on Saturday February 28, 2026 in Cape Vincent, New York at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St.
The event offers three race distances:
- 10k: single lap with a slightly modified route.
- Half Marathon: two laps of the main course.
- Full Marathon: four laps of the main course.
The course is a flat, fast out and back from the recreation park to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse turnaround will have a sheltered aid station providing water, food, and toilet facilities.
Onsite amenities include hot shower facilities and indoor space at the recreation park building. Light refreshments will be available inside, while an outdoor area will feature a roaring fire and music. A Quick Drop Tent will be located next to the start area for gear exchange.
Finishers receive a medal and a t-shirt. Full marathon finishers receive the DENFIT SPEAR, which has a new design this year. The full marathon is limited to 100 runners and total participation is capped at 200 runners. Parking is free and a short walk to the event area; organizers request a small donation to a local nonprofit. For handicap and special needs parking, participants should contact the race.
Runners are required to carry a safety light or strobe in case of whiteout conditions and are advised to carry personal hydration. There will be no weather cancellations unless a New York State issued travel ban is in effect. The race notes likely winter conditions including snow and wind.
