DENFIT Winter Soldier - Cape Vincent, NY
The DENFIT Winter Soldier takes place on February 27, 2027 at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St, Cape Vincent, NY. The course runs along the St. Lawrence River and uses an out-and-back route to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The course is described as flat and fast.
Participants can choose among the following distances:
- 10k - single lap with a slightly modified route
- Half Marathon - two laps
- Full Marathon - four laps
The event site offers hot shower facilities and indoor space for runners. Light refreshments will be available inside the recreation building, while an outdoor area will include a fire and music. The lighthouse turnaround will host a sheltered aid station with water, food, and toilet facilities. A Quick Drop Tent will be located next to the start area for outdoor gear changes.
Upon finishing, each runner will receive a medal and a t-shirt. Full marathon finishers will also receive the DENFIT SPEAR, which has a new design for the year. The full marathon is limited to 100 runners and the overall participant cap is 200.
Parking is free and requires a short walk to the event area; organizers request a small donation to a local non-profit (TBD) when parking. Due to winter conditions, runners are required to carry a safety light or strobe and personal hydration is recommended. The event will not be canceled for weather except in the case of a New York State issued travel ban. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
