DENFIT Winter Soldier
The DENFIT Winter Soldier is a winter road running event held at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St, Cape Vincent, NY. The course is a flat out-and-back from the recreation park to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The 10k follows a slightly modified single lap, the half marathon is two laps, and the full marathon is four laps.

Runners have access to hot shower facilities and indoor space at the recreation park. Light refreshments are provided inside, and there will be an outdoor fire and music near the park. The lighthouse turnaround includes a sheltered aid station with water, food, and toilet facilities. A quick drop tent will be available next to the start line for switching gear.
Each finisher receives a medal and a t-shirt. Full marathon finishers receive the DENFIT SPEAR, which has a new design this year. The full marathon is limited to 100 runners and the total event cap is 200 runners. Parking is free and a short walk to the event area; participants are asked to consider a small donation to a local nonprofit. For handicap and special needs parking, contact the race.
Given winter conditions, runners are required to carry a safety light or strobe and are advised to carry personal hydration. The event will not be canceled for weather unless a New York State travel ban is issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
