DENFIT Winter Soldier : basic details
The DENFIT Winter Soldier takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St, Cape Vincent, NY 13618. The event offers three race distances:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
Course, logistics and services
The course is a flat out-and-back from the recreation park to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The 10k follows a single lap with a slightly modified route, the half marathon is two laps, and the full marathon is four laps. The full marathon entry is limited to 100 runners and the overall event has a participation cap of 200 runners. Parking is free and a short walk to the event area; runners are asked to consider a small donation to a local non-profit (organization to be determined). Handicap and special needs parking require contact with the race.
On-site facilities include hot shower access and indoor space with light refreshments. There will be an outdoor fire, music, a sheltered aid station at the lighthouse with water, food and toilet facilities, and a "Quick Drop Tent" near the start for gear changes. Each finisher receives a medal and a t-shirt; full marathon finishers receive the DENFIT SPEAR, which has a new design this year. Given winter conditions, runners are required to carry a safety light or strobe and are advised to bring personal hydration.
