DENFIT Winter Soldier
The DENFIT Winter Soldier takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Cape Vincent, NY at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St. The event offers the following race distances:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
Course, entry and race-day facilities
The course is a flat, fast out-and-back from the recreation park to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The 10k is one lap on a slightly modified route, the Half Marathon is two laps, and the Full Marathon is four laps. The Full Marathon is limited to 100 runners and the total event cap is 200 participants. Listed entry fees in the event information are $82.90 for the Full Marathon, $67.45 for the Half Marathon, and $52 for the 10k; prices increase after January 4, 2026.
Runners will have access to hot shower facilities and indoor space at the Rec Park building. Light refreshments will be available inside; outside there will be a fire and music. The lighthouse turnaround will include a sheltered aid station with water, food and toilet facilities. A Quick Drop Tent will be available near the start for outdoor gear changes. Upon completion, each participant receives a medal and t-shirt; Full Marathon finishers receive the DENFIT SPEAR with a new design. Parking is free with a short walk to the event; organizers request a small donation to a local non-profit. Given winter conditions, a safety light or strobe is required and personal hydration is recommended. There will be no weather cancellations unless a New York State travel ban is in effect.
