DENFIT Winter Soldier - Cape Vincent, NY
The DENFIT Winter Soldier takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S James St, Cape Vincent, NY. The event is set along the St. Lawrence River and uses a flat out and back course between the recreation park and Tibbetts Point Lighthouse.
Distances offered:
- 10k: single lap, slightly modified route
- Half Marathon: two laps of the course
- Full Marathon: four laps of the course
On-course support includes a sheltered aid station at the lighthouse turnaround with water, food, and toilet facilities. Participants will have access to hot shower facilities and indoor space at the Rec Park building. Light refreshments are provided inside; outside there will be a fire and music. A Quick Drop Tent is located next to the start line for gear exchange without entering the building.
Each finisher receives a medal and t-shirt; Full Marathon finishers receive the DENFIT SPEAR with a new design. The Full Marathon is limited to 100 runners and total participation is capped at 200. Parking is free with a short walk to the event area; attendees are asked to consider a small donation to a local non-profit. Runners must carry a safety light or strobe and are advised to carry personal hydration. The race will not be canceled for weather except under a New York State travel ban.
