Thirsty Thursday 5K
Thirsty Thursdays are a series of timed 5K pub runs sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. The events take place one Thursday each month from April through October on the Katy Trail, departing from Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri. The course is an out-and-back on the Katy Trail and is professionally timed.
The format uses an open start line to allow for varied arrival times and a low-stress check-in process. All registrants aged 21 and older receive one complimentary beer from Good News Brewing. Good News Brewing also offers extended bar hours and a pizza buffet available for purchase after the event. Event registration includes optional swag available for purchase.
For 2026 the series adds specific features including removal of processing fees, a loyalty program, and the addition of age groups to the leaderboards. The series presents recurring, timed runs with on-site food and beverage options at the brewery location in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
