8th Annual Heroes for Autism 5K and 1 Mile
The Freddie Ford Family Foundation presents the 8th Annual Heroes for Autism 5K and 1 Mile on July 18, 2026 at Edgar M. Queeny County Park, 550 Weidman Road, Manchester, MO. The foundation is a nonprofit that supports under-served families impacted by autism and works to raise awareness and acceptance.

The event includes music, a bounce house, vendors, and food and drinks available for donations. Participants are invited to dress as their favorite superhero. The event is open to walkers and runners of all ages and abilities, and children 11 and under may join the fun run when accompanied by an adult.
Funds raised will support the foundation programs for social skills, health and fitness, and community education. Registration fees are listed as early bird rates of $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Mile, with an increase to $45 for the 5K and $35 for the Mile as of May 1. A family discount applies when five or more people register in a single transaction; the discount is $10 per person. Kids 11 and under are free with a paid registration.
Packet pickup will be available on Wednesday, July 15 at Fleet Feet Des Peres and on race morning at Queeny Park. A course map is listed as coming soon.
