8th Annual Heroes for Autism 5K and 1 Mile
The Freddie Ford Family Foundation presents the 8th annual Heroes for Autism 5K and 1 Mile at Edgar M. Queeny County Park in Manchester, Missouri on July 18, 2026. The foundation supports under-served families impacted by autism and uses this event to raise awareness and acceptance.
The event is family friendly and includes music, a bounce house, vendors, and food and drinks available for donations. Participants are invited to dress as their favorite superhero. The event accommodates walkers and runners of different ages.

Funds raised will support the foundation's programs for social skills, health and fitness, and community education. Early bird registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Mile; fees increase to $45 for the 5K and $35 for the Mile as of May 1. Kids 11 and under are free with a paid registration and may join the fun run with adult supervision. A family discount of $10 per person applies when registering five or more people in a single transaction.
Packet pickup is available on July 15 at Fleet Feet Des Peres and on race morning at Queeny Park. Awards are given to the top two male and top two female finishers in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
