Thirsk 10 2027
The Thirsk 10 is a road race held on Sunday 14 March 2027 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The event is a single lap of 10 Miles on a flat, fast course that uses partially closed roads and has been formally measured by England Athletics. The course was updated in 2025 and is suitable for wheelchair athletes.
The event is organised by Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers with race headquarters at Thirsk Racecourse. Entry is limited to 1000 runners. Entry fees are shown as £26.00 for affiliated runners and £28.00 for unaffiliated runners. T-shirts are included in the entry fee with sizes from XS to XXL; additional size requests such as XXS or XXXL can be noted. A no T-shirt option results in a donation to the event charities. There are charity places available to support two local charities.
Race logistics include a cut-off at the 5 mile marker of 75 minutes, which the organisers state equates to an overall finish time of around 2.5 hours. Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers, toilets and unattended baggage storage. Bone conductor headphones are permitted in line with UK Athletics guidelines; standard headphones are banned on some open road sections. Prizes are offered for the first three overall men and women, age categories and teams. A children’s fun run is held before the main race with a small entry fee and a chocolate and medal for each child. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
