Event overview
The Thirsk 10 takes place in Thirsk, North Yorkshire on 22 March 2026. It is organised by Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers with race HQ at Thirsk Racecourse. Distances:
- 10 Miles - road race, one lap
- 1.5 miles - Fun Run for children
The 10-mile course is on partially closed roads, is flat, and has been formally measured by England Athletics. The race is suitable for wheelchair athletes. The course was updated for 2025 and will operate under a race licence listed as tbc.
Entries, facilities and rules
Entry is limited to 1,100 places, with 1,022 remaining at the time shown. Entry fees are: Unaffiliated £25.00, Affiliated £23.00. There will be no entries for the main race on the day. The Fun Run can be entered on the day at £3 per child.
Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets and an unmanned baggage store; there are no changing facilities or showers. T-shirts are included in entry (sizes XS to XXL; requests for XXS or XXXL can be added). To manage safety, a cut-off will be enforced at the 5-mile marker of 75 minutes, which equates to an overall finish time of around 2.5 hours. Prizes are offered for the first five men and women overall, age categories and spot prizes. Entries may be edited or transferred before 6 March 2026; refunds are permitted only if applied for before 18 February 2026 and are subject to a processing charge.
