Bedale Santa Run
The Bedale Santa Run takes place on Sunday 13 December 2026 in Bedale, organised by Bedale and Aiskew Runners. The Race Headquarters is at Bedale Park and the route includes trails through Keepers Walk woodland.
The event offers two distances:
- 5 kilometres
- 1 mile Santa fun run
The 5 kilometre course is multi terrain, flat and run over three laps. The Santa fun run is one lap. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs and the race licence is not applicable. Entry is limited to 200 places and advance entries are required; entry on the day is not available. Entry fees are £15 for the 5k and £10 for the 1 mile; parents may run with a child without an entry fee. Twenty percent of entry fees will be donated to the club's annual charities St Teresa's Hospice and Bedale Scouts.
All finishers of the 5k receive a special Christmas buff. Children in the fun run receive a gift and a medal. Trophies are awarded for 1st and 2nd male and female in both races, with additional trophies for 1st male 50 plus and 1st female 45 plus. Recorded course bests from 2023 are 18:15 for men and 21:40 for women.
