About the race
The Bedale Santa Run is a community Christmas running event taking place in Bedale on 13 December 2026, organised by Bedale and Aiskew Runners. The event uses Bedale Park and the woodland trail of Keepers Walk and includes both a timed 5 km race and a themed 1 mile Santa fun run.

- 5 km (three laps)
- 1 mile (one lap, Santa fun run)
The 5 km course is multi terrain with a flat profile. Entry is limited to 200 places and entry on the day is not available. Entry fees are listed as £15 for the 5 km and £10 for the 1 mile; parents may run with their child free of charge. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs and the race licence is not applicable.
Awards include trophies for first and second male and female in both races, plus age-group trophies for first male 50+ and first female 45+. Course records and a prize are noted for male and female records. Finishers receive a seasonal buff; children in the fun run receive a gift and a medal. Twenty percent of entry fees will be donated to the club’s chosen charities. Post-run hot chocolate will be served and participants are encouraged to bring a cup for sustainability.
