Bedale Santa Run
The Bedale Santa Run takes place on Sunday 13th December 2026 in Bedale. The event comprises two races: a community Santa fun run and a 5 kilometre multi-terrain race.
The course uses Bedale Park and the woodland trail of Keepers Walk. The 5 kilometre race is run over three laps while the Santa fun run is a single lap. The route is described as flat and the event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters are at Bedale Park. Entries are limited to 200 places and advance entry is required; entry on the day is not available.
Practical details and awards include:
- All finishers receive a special Christmas buff.
- Children in the Santa fun run receive a gift and a medal.
- Trophies will be awarded for first and second male and female in both races, plus first male 50+ and first female 45+.
- A prize is available if the male or female course records are broken.
- Twenty percent of entry fees will be donated to the club charities St Teresa's Hospice and Bedale Scouts.
- Hot chocolate will be served after the event; participants are asked to bring a cup to support sustainability.
