Event overview
The Bedale Christmas 5k & 1 Mile Santa Fun Run takes place on 14 December 2025 in Bedale. The event is organised by Bedale and Aiskew Runners and is held with race headquarters at Bedale Park. Children in the fun run receive a gift and a medal. All finishers receive a special Christmas buff. Parents may run with their child free of charge. There are prizes and trophies, including awards for first and second male and female in both races and age-group trophies; a prize is available if the male or female course records are broken.

Course, facilities and entries
The 5 km race is three laps; the 1 mile fun run is one lap. The route includes Bedale Park and the Keepers Walk woodland trail. The course is described as multi-terrain and flat and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets. There are no water stations, no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Entry fees are £15.00 for the 5k and £10.00 for the 1 mile. Twenty percent of each entry fee will be donated to the club’s annual charities. Entry is limited to 200 places; 175 places remained at the time listed. Entry on the day is not available.
