Jolly Holly Jog 2026
Jolly Holly Jog is a community road-and-trail race held in Ripon, North Yorkshire on Monday 28 December 2026. The course covers approximately 10 km over multi-terrain paths and parkland. The route is undulating and runs mainly on public footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, with sections at Hell Wath Nature Reserve, Whitcliffe Lane and Plumpton Lane. The route passes a memorial bench and finishes on the field at the start area.
The event base and Race HQ is Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath, Ripon HG4 2JT. Facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. Portable toilets will be provided on the start/finish field. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. Dogs are not permitted and the minimum age requirement is 15.
Entry is limited to 1000 places. Early bird pricing applies to the first 400 entries; standard entry fees listed for affiliated and unaffiliated runners include a race T-shirt for those who qualify. Deferrals, refunds and transfers are available under stated time limits.
Prizes are awarded for first to third male and female finishers, age-grade winners and the Shaun Lee Johnstone Trophy for the first locally based club runner. The event supports a local food bank and will provide a Race HQ drop-off point for requested items such as tinned food, cereals, tea and coffee, and toiletries.
