The Jolly Holly Jog takes place in Ripon, North Yorkshire on 28 December 2025. The event is a multi-terrain race of approximately 10 Kilometres on an undulating route mainly on footpaths through parkland. The course starts at Hell Wath Nature Reserve, continues along Whitcliffe Lane and public footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, goes out via Plumpton Lane, includes a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods, and returns across fields to the finish. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. Race HQ is at Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath.
Entry, facilities and other information
Entry places are limited to 1,000; remaining places are listed as 832. Entry fees range from £17.50 to £24.50 depending on options such as a T-shirt and an option to fund tree planting. Entry on the day is not available. Deferrals are not available; refunds are permitted if requested at least 28 days before race day and transfers are allowed. Facilities at Race HQ and on course include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd male and female, age grade prizes for first place in each age group male and female, and a memorial trophy is presented to the first locally based club runner. The organisers are supporting the Ripon Branch of the Salvation Army food bank and will provide a drop-off point at Race HQ for tinned and non-perishable food, cereals, tea and coffee, and toiletries.
