The Jolly Holly Jog takes place on 28 December 2025 in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Ripon Runners and is a single-lap, multi-terrain road and trail race of approximately 10 kilometres. Entry is limited to 1,000 places; 143 places remained at the time of the listing. Entry fees listed include a tree-planting option: affiliated £17.50 and unaffiliated £19.50. Entry on the day is not available. Refunds are allowed if requested at least 28 days before race day; deferrals are not available.
Course, facilities and other information
The undulating route starts at Hell Wath Nature Reserve and follows footpaths through Whitcliffe Lane, Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, including a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods, and returns across the field to the finish. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. Dogs are unsuitable and the minimum age is 15.
Race HQ is at Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath Playing Fields, Ripon HG4 2JT. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, showers or baggage store. Portable toilets will be available at the start/finish and additional toilets have been provided for 2025. Mobile refreshments will be at the start/finish serving hot drinks, sandwiches and cakes.
Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd male and female, age-grade winners, and a trophy to the first locally based club runner. The event supports the Ripon Branch of the Salvation Army food bank, with a drop-off point at Race HQ for suggested non-perishable and toiletry donations.
