Jolly Holly Jog 2026
The Jolly Holly Jog is a scenic, multi terrain road and trail event of approximately 10 km near Ripon, North Yorkshire. The undulating single-lap course runs mainly on footpaths and parkland, starting at Hell Wath Nature Reserve and passing through Whitcliffe Lane, Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park before returning across the field to the finish.
The route includes a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods and a variety of surfaced and unsurfaced sections. A route map will be displayed at Race HQ. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. Race HQ is at Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath Playing Fields, Ripon HG4 2JT.
Entries are subject to an overall limit of 1000 places. Early bird pricing applies to the first 400 entries; after that different prices apply and entries after 1 December 2026 will have a tree planted and will not receive a JHJ T Shirt. Entry on the day is not available. Facilities at the start and finish include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage on site.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first place in each age group. The Shaun Lee Johnstone Trophy is presented to the first locally based club runner. The event supports a local food bank and a drop off point will be available at Race HQ for requested items such as tinned and non perishable food, cereals, tea and coffee, and toiletries.
