Jolly Holly Jog 2026
The event is a one lap, approximately 10 Kilometres, multi terrain running event on an undulating route mainly on footpaths through Studley parkland near Ripon. The course starts on Hell Wath Nature Reserve and continues up Whitcliffe Lane onto public footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, passing Monty’s bench as a memorial. It then exits Studley via Plumpton Lane, returns through a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods, crosses back to Whitcliffe Lane and finishes across the field at Hell Wath.
The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. A route map will be displayed at Race HQ on the day. Race HQ is Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath, Ripon HG4 2JT. Facilities include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Portable toilets will be available at the Start and Finish area.
Entry is limited to 1000 places. Early bird pricing holds the first 400 places at 2025 prices; once 400 entries are reached prices will be higher. Entries after 1 December 2026 will include a tree being planted and entrants will not receive a JHJ T Shirt. Race licence is TBC. Minimum age is 15 and dogs are not permitted.
Prizes are awarded to first to third male and female and age grade prizes for first in each age group. A locally awarded trophy recognises the first locally based club runner. Mobile refreshments will be available at the Start and Finish area. Deferrals, refunds and transfers are possible under the stated deadlines and conditions.
