Event overview

The Punk Panther Harrogate Hustle is a trail race taking place on 7 February 2026 around Harrogate and Knaresborough. The route encircles the spa town at a radius of about 3-4 miles, runs mostly on country paths, and passes through Nidd Gorge. The ultramarathon route also includes the Knaresborough Round. Registration is at Pannal Village Hall and the listed start location is Nidd Gorge Car Park, Ripley Road, Knaresborough, HG5 9H. Maximum entrants are 200; entries open 31 July 2025 and close 25 January 2026. Minimum age is 18.

Entry fees are listed per distance: £32.50 (half/14 miles), £38.00 (20 miles), £70.00 (ultra/34 miles). The event is Race 2 of 10 in the series. Checkpoints provide water, soft drinks, energy bars, crisps and a box of vegan and gluten-free snacks. All ultramarathon entrants are supplied with a tracker; trail entrants may hire a tracker for £15. Trackers include an emergency button that, if pressed while in range, ends the competitor’s race. Provisional GPX files and a route description are available; final route files and instructions will be emailed to competitors. A kit list is mandatory for all distances and includes a suitable bag, waterproof jacket with taped seams, fluids, cup, nutrition, survival/bivvy bag, whistle, mobile phone with race contact numbers, tracker for ultramarathon, hat/buff, gloves, personal first aid kit, hard copy map/route description, and a head torch for the longest course. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out; food at the finish includes hot options with vegan and gluten-free choices.
