Third Thirsty Thursday Evening 5K Race Series Race 6 of 7
This event is the sixth race of a seven-race evening 5K series held April through October 2027 at Trooper Thorn’s Irish Beef House, 451 Morgantown Rd, Reading, PA. The series is organized as monthly events on the third Thursday; the 2027 series includes seven races across the season.
The course is a wheel-measured, mostly flat out-and-back on the Thun trail, run on packed cinder or paved surfaces. Typical layouts proceed about 1.55 miles to a turnaround and return to the start area behind Trooper Thorn’s. Race services include a finish clock, mile markers, instant results, light food, shirts for sale while supplies last, door prizes, and street parking near the pub.
Entry options distinguish series and single races. Series preregistration is required to enter the full seven-race series; individual race entry is limited to race night for those not entered in the series. Published fees for 2027 are $75 for the full series if postmarked by April 2 and $82 thereafter; individual race entry is $15. Online registration for the series is offered with a service charge and closes in mid April.
Awards include first overall male and female plus multiple age group places from youth through 80 plus. A Clydesdale and Clydette division is offered with specific minimum weight thresholds and, if chosen, applies for the entire series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
