Third Thirsty Thursday Evening 5K Race Series
Pretzel City Sports presents the 21st annual Third Thirsty Thursday evening 5K series held April through October 2027 at Trooper Thorn's Irish Beef House in Reading, PA. The series comprises seven races on the third Thursday of each month.
The course is wheel measured and mostly flat on the Thun trail, using packed cinder or paved surfaces. Typical layouts are out-and-back routes with a common 1.55 mile turnaround and a start area behind Trooper Thorn's. A finish clock, mile markers, and instant results are provided.
Series registration must be completed in advance; individual race entries are available only on race night. Online series registration closes April 13, 2027. Early postmarked series entries receive a reduced fee. Fees and entry rules vary for series and single races; there are no refunds. Shirts are available for sale at each race while supplies last.
Event amenities and logistics include light eats, meals for purchase, door prizes, and street parking near the venue. Each paid entry includes one complimentary beer; minors receive a complimentary soft drink. Entrants under 21 must leave the venue by 9:30 PM unless accompanied by a parent.
Awards include first overall male and female plus age group awards across youth through masters categories. Clydesdale and Clydette divisions have weight minimums and must be declared at first entry for the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
