There's No Place Like Homeward Pet 5K Walk/Run
Homeward Pet Adoption Center presents the fourth annual 5K Walk/Run on September 19, 2026, at Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville, Washington. The event benefits Homeward Pet and the animals in its care.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles) in person on the Sammamish River Trail
- Virtual 5K
The in-person route follows the Sammamish River Trail for 1.5 miles to a turnaround near the Hollywood School House District and returns to the start, on paved and mostly flat terrain. Well behaved pets may attend on a standard 4 to 6 foot leash. The event is aimed at supporters, foster families, volunteers, and adoption alumni.
Onsite activities include dog splash pads, a photo booth, and vendors. Themed costumes are encouraged. Parking will be limited; carpooling or arranging a drop off or pick up is suggested. Registration opens May 11, 2026 and closes July 30, 2026. Registration fee is $35. All proceeds will directly benefit Homeward Pet Adoption Center and the animals in its care.
