There's No Place Like Homeward Pet 5K Walk/Run
The fourth annual There's No Place Like Homeward Pet 5K Walk/Run takes place on September 19, 2026 at Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville, Washington. The event benefits Homeward Pet Adoption Center and all proceeds will directly support the animals in their care.
The in-person 5K follows the Sammamish River Trail for 1.5 miles with a turnaround near the Hollywood School House District. The trail is paved and mostly flat. Well behaved pets are welcome on a 4 to 6 foot standard leash. A virtual 5k option is also offered.
On-site activities include splash pads for dogs, a photo booth, and a vendor area. The event encourages themed costumes. Parking will be limited; carpooling or arranging drop off and pick up is recommended. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available through the organizer.
