Beat The Blerch takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Carnation, Washington at King County’s Tolt-MacDonald Park. The race offers four distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
Registration opens January 20, 2026. Listed entry fees are $40 for the 5K, $60 for the 10K, $85 for the half marathon, and $120 for the marathon. The half marathon is open to ages 12 and up. The marathon is open to ages 16 and up and shows 100 spots remaining.
The race was created by The Oatmeal and is inspired by a comic about running.
Course and location
The course is described as a flat, out-and-back route that runs through evergreen, mossy forests along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. The start area is near strawberry farms and pumpkin patches, which offer guided tours. The event location is in a small town about 35 minutes outside of Seattle.
