Beat The Blerch Seattle - Race details
Beat The Blerch Seattle takes place at King County’s Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation, WA. The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon
- Full marathon
The course begins and finishes at Tolt McDonald Park and follows a flat, out and back gravel trail through evergreen, mossy forests along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. For the half marathon and 10K, participants start in waves of about 150 to 200 people, spaced approximately 2 to 3 minutes apart; organizers may ask for approximate pace to help space runners.
Packet pickup is available at Road Runner Sports in the Greenlake area of Seattle and also at the race site. A free gear check is provided; participants must supply their own bag. Vehicles may not enter the park without a parking pass; those without a pass are directed to free parking options outside the park. Parking passes are issued by email to registrants who purchased them.
Aid stations are stocked with electrolyte beverages, water, gels, Nutella sandwiches, and birthday cake. Specific aid station mile markers are listed for each distance. Entry fees are published for each distance. Volunteer roles are available and include packet pickup, aid stations, parking, course monitoring, and finish line support; volunteers receive a custom event shirt and post race refreshments.
