Oktoberfest Fly Away 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk
The Oktoberfest Fly Away Run is a community event held in Kenmore, Washington. The event is part of the city's annual Oktoberfest celebration and offers participants two different distances along the Burke-Gilman Trail. The race route follows a marked out-and-back course that heads east from Kenmore toward Bothell.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
The event begins at the access point for the Burke-Gilman Trail located at the 192 Brewing Company Lake Trail Taproom. The course is timed for all participants. Leashed pets, wagons, and pet strollers are permitted on the course, provided owners keep pets on a short leash and manage cleanup.
All registered participants receive a commemorative finisher medal. An event giveaway is also provided to participants; while supplies vary, the giveaway is guaranteed for those who register by September 1. Packet pickup is available at the Bothell Kenmore Chamber Office on the Wednesday and Thursday preceding the race, as well as at the event location on Friday afternoon and on the day of the event.
Parking for the event is available on surrounding streets and at the nearby Kenmore Park and Ride, which includes crosswalk access to the trail area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
