Oktoberfest Fly Away 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk
The event features two distances: a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. It is the 7th annual Fly Away Run, described as a family-friendly community event.
The course is a timed, marked out-and-back route on the Burke-Gilman Trail. It begins at a trail access point in Kenmore, located at 192 Brewing Co. Lake Trail Taproom & Copperworks Distilling, and heads east toward Bothell.
This run is part of Kenmore's Oktoberfest celebration.
All registered participants receive a commemorative medal. Those who register by September 1 are guaranteed an event giveaway, which is available while supplies last after that date. Leashed pets, pet strollers, or wagons are permitted on the course.
Parking is available on nearby streets and at the Kenmore Park & Ride. Bib pick-up is available in the week before the event at the Bothell Kenmore Chamber office and at the launch location, as well as on the event day.
Proceeds from the event support the Bothell Kenmore Chamber's community programs. Awards are given to top male and female runners in several age brackets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
