Theatre Turkey Trot
The 5th Annual Theatre Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning at Ditto Landing in Huntsville, Alabama. This holiday-themed running event provides an opportunity for participants to run or walk a flat course along the riverfront before their holiday celebrations. Participants are encouraged to wear Thanksgiving-themed costumes for the occasion.
The event features two distinct distances:
- 5K run or walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Prizes are awarded for the fastest times in several categories, including women's, men's, and youth divisions. The 1 Mile Fun Run is designed for children or adults who are new to competitive running.
All registration fees and proceeds support Around the Curtain Community Children's Theatre, a local non-profit organization. Race packets are available for pickup the day before the event at Running Lane on Memorial Parkway.
