Huntsville Half Marathon
The Huntsville Half Marathon is the 48th annual half marathon held on November 14, 2026, starting and finishing at Hillwood Baptist Church, 300 Kohler Road, Huntsville, AL 35803. The event covers a distance of 13.1 Miles along a course that runs through South Huntsville.
The course is described as flat and fast. It is noted as suitable for first time half marathoners, for runners attempting personal records, and as training for the Rocket City Marathon.
Aid stations are provided every 2 miles and will include water, Powerade, Gu, bananas, and porta potties. Entertainment along the course is planned to provide on-course activity.
Parking at the church is limited; carpooling is encouraged. Volunteers will direct parking, and participants are asked to avoid parking on private property or in areas that are blocked off.
Weather in early November can vary. Conditions may be warm and sunny, chilly and windy, or rainy, so appropriate clothing for variable conditions is advisable. The race enforces a 3.5 hour cutoff due to city permitting requirements.
