Dizzy Fifties - November 21, 2026, Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, AL
Dizzy Fifties is a trail running event organized by the Huntsville Track Club. The event offers three loop-based distances that share the same figure-8-style course centered on the John Scoble Memorial Pavilion (Bikers Pavilion).
Each loop is approximately 10 miles with about 1,000 ft of climbing. The 50K uses three loops for roughly 3,000 ft total gain. The course includes sections on the South Plateau, Firetower, the Family Bike Trail (Bucca), Logan-Keith, and the Sinks trail. Runners pass near a pavilion aid station around 6.4 miles and must check in at the arch after each 10-mile loop.
Distance options
- 50K - three 10-mile loops, about 3,000 ft total climb
- 20 Mile - two 10-mile loops
- 10 Mile - one 10-mile loop
This is a cupless race; participants receive a reusable cup as part of race swag. One fully stocked aid station is located at the pavilion with water, sodas, and food; personal aid may be set up on pavilion picnic tables. Medical support is provided by HEMSI.
Packet pickup is scheduled at RunningLane on Friday, 11/20, with race-morning bib and shirt pickup also offered. Parking is limited and park entry is included with the race fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
