Dizzy Fifties - November 21, 2026
Dizzy Fifties is a trail race organized by the Huntsville Track Club at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL on November 21, 2026. The event uses a figure-8 style loop that is roughly 10 miles per loop with about 1,000 feet of climbing per loop; the 50K covers three loops for approximately 3,000 feet of total gain.
Distances:
- 50K (three loops)
- 20 Mile (two loops)
- 10 Mile (one loop)
All distances follow the same course routing, which includes the South Plateau, Firetower, Family Bike Trail (Bucca), Logan-Keith, and the Sinks trail. Runners pass near a pavilion aid station around mile 6.4 of each loop and must check in at the finish arch after each completed loop for lap counting. Bibs must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times.
This is a cupless race; participants receive a reusable cup as part of race swag. One fully stocked aid station is available at the pavilion with water, sodas, and a variety of food. Personal aid may be set on the pavilion picnic tables. Aid access counts vary by distance: 50K five opportunities, 20 Mile three opportunities, 10 Mile one opportunity. Medical support is provided by HEMSI.
Packet pickup is scheduled at RunningLane on Friday, November 20 at 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW Suite 1, Huntsville, AL. Parking at the pavilion is limited and a park entry pass is included with the race fee and distributed by pre-race email. Distance changes to a shorter race are allowed until November 17; bib transfers are not allowed. Rules prohibit bicycles, strollers, pets, roller skates, and skateboards on course. Race results require completing the distance registered for; partial completions are not recorded as shorter distance finishes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
