Dizzy Fifties
Dizzy Fifties is a trail race at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL, organized by the Huntsville Track Club. The 2026 event is the 23rd annual running of the race and offers multiple looped distances on a figure eight style course that uses park trails and shared bike paths.
Distance options
- 50K three loops, approximately 3,000 ft total climbing.
- 20 Mile two loops.
- 10 Mile one loop.
Each loop is roughly 10 miles with about 1,000 ft of climbing. The loop begins on the South Plateau and follows the Firetower and Family Bike Trail, passes near the pavilion aid station at about 6.4 miles, then descends through Logan-Keith and climbs the Sinks trail back to the pavilion. Runners must check in at the arch after each 10 mile loop.
This is a cupless race. Entrants receive a reusable cup as part of race swag and there is one fully stocked pavilion aid station offering food, water, and sodas. Personal aid may be set up on pavilion picnic tables. Aid opportunities per distance are listed as 5 for the 50K, 3 for the 20 Mile, and 1 for the 10 Mile. Medical support is provided on site by HEMSI.
Packet pickup is at RunningLane on the Friday before the race at 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW Suite 1, Huntsville AL. Registration closes November 16 and the deadline to change to a shorter distance is November 17. Bibs must be worn on the front and visible at all times. No bib transfers are allowed. Bicycles, strollers, pets, roller skates, and skateboards are not permitted on course. The 50K is the only distance that counts toward the Huntsville Track Club Slam Series.
