The Woods 2027
The Woods 2027 takes place at Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 north coast road in Cornwall. The event is held on a looped course of 4 mile per lap. Participants choose how long to run: Rowan is 3 hours, Ash is 6 hours, Beech is 9 hours and Oak is 12 hours. Winners are determined by the maximum number of laps completed within each time category.
There are affiliated and non affiliated entry categories with different entry fees. The event holds an ARC permit number ARC/2. New ARC guidelines require runners to be aged 20 or over to enter ultras.
Crew are permitted but support runners are not allowed on the course. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the start date. Deferrals are permitted up to two weeks before the start date; deferrals cannot be refunded at the subsequent race. If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the race cannot go ahead; the organiser may reschedule the event or hold it virtually.
Entrants must be medically able to undertake the event, properly trained and equipped, and accept the decisions of race officials and marshals. Entry is subject to the organiser’s terms and conditions, including waiver and data protection provisions. A kit list coat is available for hire on request.
