The Woods 2026 : Tehidy Woods
The Woods is a timed trail event held at Tehidy Woods on the North Coast. All four races use the same 4 mile circular loop through woodland. The route is described as testing and hilly, with typical wooded trail entanglements, and it is marked with event arrows. The event holds an ARC permit (ARC/26/0037).
Race format and entry information
Participants choose one of four time-limited options: Rowan (3 hours), Ash (6 hours), Beech (9 hours) or Oak (12 hours). The winner in each option is the runner who completes the maximum number of laps within that duration. Crew access is allowed; support runners on the course are not permitted. Entrants must be 18 or over.
Entry fees vary by category and affiliation, ranging from approximately £30 to £62. Entries close two weeks before the event. Refunds are offered up to four weeks before the event; deferrals are permitted up to two weeks before the event and deferrals cannot be refunded at a subsequent race. If an Amber or Red weather warning is issued by the Met Office, the event cannot go ahead; organisers may attempt to reschedule or run the event virtually.
