The Woods
The Woods takes place on Saturday 11 September 2027 at Tehidy woods, a site described as home to history, myth and legend. This is the event's third year and entries are listed as open.
The event is a trail race run on a 4 mile circular loop. The course is testing and hilly with the entanglements commonly found in woods. The route is marked with Bys Vyken arrows and sawdust, and all four races follow the same loop while starting at the same time.
Participants choose from four timed challenges:
- Rowan 3 hours
- Ash 6 hours
- Beech 9 hours
- Oak 12 hours
Entries are open with fees of £30, £40, £50 and £60. All entries close two weeks before the event. New ARC guidelines require runners to be aged 20 or over to enter the Beech and Oak races classified as ultras. There is plenty of parking and attendees are asked to consider car sharing. Vendor stalls and refreshment stalls will be present on the day.
