The Woods 2027
The Woods 2027 is an endurance running event at Tehidy Woods on the north coast of Cornwall, scheduled for 11 September 2027. The course is a 4 mile loop through Tehidy Woods. Participants choose a timed entry and run as many laps as possible within that period.
Timed options are: Rowan (3 hours), Ash (6 hours), Beech (9 hours) and Oak (12 hours). Winners in each category are determined by the maximum number of laps completed within the chosen time.
The event is organised by Bys Vyken Events and carries ARC permit number ARC/2. Crew are allowed to assist participants, but support runners are not permitted on the course. Kit hire, specifically a coat, is available on request from the organiser. Participants must be over 18 and accept the event risks and the organiser terms, including the refund and deferral rules: refunds are offered up to four weeks before the event and deferrals up to two weeks before the event; deferrals are not refundable at a subsequent race.
If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the event cannot take place on site; organisers will attempt to reschedule and, if rescheduling is not possible, the event will be held virtually. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
