The Woods 2027
The Woods 2027 is a timed running event held in Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 north coast road in Cornwall. The course is a 4 mile loop on forest and trail terrain. The event takes place on Saturday 11 September 2027.
Runners choose a time-based category and complete as many 4 mile laps as possible within that period. The categories are:
- Rowan 3 hours
- Ash 6 hours
- Beech 9 hours
- Oak 12 hours
Placement in each category is determined by the maximum number of laps completed. Crew are allowed to assist runners, but support runners are not permitted on the course. Participants must be over 18, medically able to take part, and properly trained and equipped. Entrants agree to follow decisions by race officials and to accept the event risks, including weather, trail conditions, traffic and animals.
The event holds ARC permit number ARC/2. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the start date and deferrals up to two weeks before the start date. Deferrals cannot be refunded at a subsequent race. If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the event cannot take place on site; it may be rescheduled or held as a virtual run.
