The Woods 2027
The event takes place at Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 north coast road in Cornwall. The course is a four mile loop and runners complete as many laps as they can within a chosen time category.
Participants choose one of four time categories:
- Rowan: 3 hours
- Ash: 6 hours
- Beech: 9 hours
- Oak: 12 hours
Winners for each category are determined by the maximum number of laps completed in the allotted time. Both affiliated and non affiliated entry options are offered, with entry fees varying by category. Entry prices range from £32 to £64 depending on category and affiliation.
Crew support is allowed but support runners are not permitted on the course. The organiser holds ARC Permit Number ARC/2. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the event and deferrals up to two weeks before; deferrals cannot be refunded at the subsequent race. A kit list coat can be hired on request.
Entrants must be over 18, medically able, properly trained and equipped, and must follow any decisions by race officials or marshals. If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the race cannot go ahead; the organiser may reschedule or hold the event virtually.
