The WitchWood Run, 16 May 2026
The WitchWood Run is a 24-hour loop trail event at Everton Scout Camp in Inverkip, Scotland. Participants complete as many laps as they choose on Leapmoor Forest trails and fields, and may stop or rest at any time. Families, friends and supporters are welcome on site and the event operates as a weekend festival with camping included.
The course is a 5.9 km loop (3.7 miles) with about 185 m of elevation per lap. The route includes forest trails, technical sections and rolling hills with notable views across the area. GPS route files and an elevation profile are provided by the organisers.
Basecamp includes a large grass camping area at the start/finish line plus showers, toilet blocks, kitchen facilities, mains water and coffee. Additional on-site features include live music, food and drink vendors, a communal firepit, children’s entertainment and a festival atmosphere. The event is fully marshalled, uses GPS chip timing, provides medical support and has professional photo and video coverage.
Finisher medals are awarded as follows: Bronze to every runner, Silver for over five laps, and Black for over 15 laps (or 20 combined laps for pairs). Entries for the 16 May 2026 event are listed as closed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
