Kent Christmas Cracker
The Kent Christmas Cracker takes place at Betteshanger Country Park in Deal. The event features a traffic-free course consisting of tarmac surfaces. Participants follow a flat route designed for fast times, with different distances available based on the chosen category:
- 5 mile: Two full clockwise laps of the park circuit.
- Fun Run: A 2 mile route consisting of one large loop.
- Junior Run: A 1 km out-and-back course.
The event village and Race HQ are located directly on the tarmac cycle circuit. Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire, such as Santa hats, for the run. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and have access to free digital race photographs. Trophies and prizes are also awarded to the leading runners in the competition.
The race raises funds for the charity Shelter, which supports individuals experiencing homelessness and advocates for safe housing.
The venue is accessible by car via the A258, and ample parking is available on-site for a fee. For those traveling by rail, the nearest stations are Deal and Sandwich, which require a short taxi ride or cycle to reach the park.
