Thanet Coastal 10 & 5 Mile : Palm Bay School, Margate
Thanet Coastal offers two measured road races on 6 December 2026, organised by Sporting Events UK and using much of the former Alan Green Thanet 10 Mile route with some route changes. The course runs along the Thanet coast in East Kent and includes sea views.
Race options:
- 10 mile race; minimum age 17 on the day.
- 5 mile race; minimum age 15 on the day.
Every finisher receives a commemorative medal. The event provides full refreshments, music and commentary, baggage drop and toilets at the venue. Results are published via a live feed on the event website so times appear shortly after crossing the line.
Prizes are awarded for first, second and third male and female finishers and for first male and female in VET40, VET50 and VET60 categories. Advanced entry fees are listed separately for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, with higher on-the-day fees if space permits. Advanced entries close at 1pm on the Wednesday before the event; there may be on-the-day entry subject to availability.
