Event overview
Thanet Coastal 10 & 5 Mile is scheduled for 7 December 2025 at Palm Bay School, Palm Bay Ave, CT9 3PP, on the Thanet Coast in East Kent. The event offers two distances:
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
The route uses the majority of the Alan Green Thanet 10 Mile race route with some changes. The course runs along the coast with views out to sea. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal. Results are published via a live feed on the event website. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, and to 1st male and female in VET40, VET50 and VET60 categories. On-site facilities include full refreshments, baggage drop and toilets. Music and commentary are provided at the event.
Logistics and entries
The event is organised by Sporting Events UK. Entry fees for advanced entries are listed as follows: 10 mile £27 for affiliated club members and £29 unaffiliated; 5 mile £23 for affiliated club members and £25 unaffiliated. On-the-day entries may be available subject to space at higher fees (£35 for 10 mile, £30 for 5 mile). Advanced entries close at 1pm on the Wednesday before the event. Minimum ages under UK Athletics rules are 17 for the 10 mile and 15 for the 5 mile, both on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
