Thanet Coastal 10 and 5 Mile
The Thanet Coastal event offers two measured road races along the Thanet Coast in East Kent, taking in sea views around Margate. The organiser stages a 10 mile and a 5 mile option on a route that uses much of the established Alan Green Thanet 10 Mile course with some changes.
Facilities at the venue include full refreshments, baggage drop and toilets. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal. Race results are published live online as runners cross the finish. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and to the first male and female in VET40, VET50 and VET60 categories.
Entry fees for advanced entries are listed per distance with lower rates for affiliated club members and higher rates for unaffiliated runners; on the day entries may be available subject to space. Advanced entries close at 1 pm on the Wednesday before the event. Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age is 17 years for the 10 mile race and 15 years for the 5 mile race.
