The Unicorn New Years Day Run 2026
The Unicorn New Years Day Run takes place in Telford, with the event starting and finishing at The Unicorn Inn. This event provides an opportunity to begin the year by completing a run along the Ironbridge Loop route. Participants have approximately six and a half hours of daylight available to complete their chosen course.
There are several distances available for participants:
- 5K
- 8 miles
- 16 miles (Metric Marathon)
- Full Marathon
The event is open to individuals aged 16 and over for the 8 mile distance, while the 16 mile distance requires entrants to be at least 17 years of age. Upon finishing the run, participants receive a medal from a lucky dip selection. The venue also offers the option for runners to have a beer after completing the course. The event is scheduled to allow individuals the possibility of attending a local park run event prior to arrival. No early starts are provided for any of the distances.
